Requirements for Eligibility

  1. Available to people from other countries and Italians living abroad (IRE).
  2. To apply to a Master’s program, you need a Bachelor’s degree.
  3. A master’s degree or equivalent is required for PhD programs.
  4. For research projects, applicants must hold a master’s degree and submit a research proposal approved by an Italian university professor.
  5. For AFAM or Arts Programs: Applicants must have a diploma or certificate required by AFAM schools.
  6. For master’s and AFAM applications, you must have been born after January 1, 1998 (you must be under 28 years old).
  7. People who want to get a PhD must have been born after January 1, 1996 (under 30).
  8. Research applicants: Under 40 years old and born after January 1, 1986.
  9. Depending on the language of instruction, applicants must demonstrate fluency in either English or Italian.
  10. For programs taught in Italian, you need to have at least a B2 level in Italian (CEFR).
  11. For programs taught in English, you need at least a B2 level of English (IELTS, TOEFL, or an equivalent certificate).
  12. Applicants must have excellent grades, research experience, and a strong desire to study in Italy.
  13. People who want to apply must do so from outside of Italy. Most of the time, people who already live in Italy are not eligible.
  1. The official call for applications is expected to open in April 2026.
  2. The submission deadline is usually mid-May 2026 (around May 15–17, 2:00 PM CET).
  3. Final selection results will be announced by summer 2026, and studies will commence from September/October 2026.
