James Cook University Postgraduate scholarship are the following:
International Merit Stipend
The JCU International Merit Stipend offers fortnightly payments of A$400 to help with living expenses while a student at JCU, As long as the student maintains a strong GPA.
The admissions procedure automatically determines a candidate’s eligibility for scholarships. A concurrent offer for the International Merit Stipend and their program of study will be made to qualified candidates.

Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Be an international student starting their studies at JCU for the first time,
- Starting as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student
- Not planning to enroll in diploma programs, End-on Honours degrees, Graduate Certificates, Graduate Diplomas, Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Online and Non-Award Programs.
- The JCU Partners scholarship is available instead of this one. If you’re starting an undergraduate degree, you must show an ATAR of 65 (or above). If you’re starting a postgraduate degree, you must show that you have achieved 65% or above, with 50% as the pass mark for your relevant qualification.

The JCU admissions procedure automatically determines a candidate’s eligibility for scholarships. You are under no obligation to apply for this scholarship. Qualified candidates will receive a concurrent offer for the International Merit Stipend and their program of study.

International Excellence Scholarship
JCU International Excellence Scholarship recipients who maintain a solid GPA each semester will receive a 25% tuition price discount for the duration of their approved full-degree study programs.
The JCU admissions procedure automatically determines a candidate’s eligibility for scholarships. A concurrent offer for their study program and the International Excellence Scholarship will be made to qualified candidates.

Eligibility
High achievers from the United States, Canada, Latin America, and the United Kingdom. Also, students from Europe, Asia, Papua New Guinea, Nigeria, Ghana, and the Middle East can apply for the International Excellence Scholarship.
International students transferring from joint programs, study abroad and exchange students, Australia Awards students, SACM students, and any other government scholarships/sponsorships covering total tuition fees are not eligible for this James Cook University Postgraduate scholarship.

International On-Campus Accommodation Grant
International full-degree students residing and attending classes at JCU’s Cairns Nguma-bada campus are the target audience for this award.
The recipients will have a strong desire to spearhead JCU on-campus events and an interest in doing so.
