Technical University of Berlin

Berlin Institute of Technology also, widely known as TU Berlin was the first-ever German university to embrace the name of Technical for the university. The list is long for the university alumni and professors, including two National Medal of Science Laureates, several US National Academies members, and ten Nobel Prize winners.

The University is one of the members of TU9, a society for the largest universities in Germany and the highest for International Managers in Engineering. It also helps students in transfer between engineering schools. The European Institute of Innovation and Technology has designated two innovation centers at the TU Berlin. The Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy has classified the university as “The Entrepreneurial University” (“Die Gründerhochschule”). TU Berlin is a member of TU9, an incorporated society of the largest and most notable German institutes of technology and of the Top International Managers in Engineering network, which allows for student exchanges between leading engineering schools.

Furtwangen University

Furtwangen University (HFU) is a German university of applied sciences with campuses in Furtwangen in Schwarzwald, Baden-Württemberg, Villingen-Schwenningen, and Tuttlingen. The HFU is an integration of both the “International Lake Constance University Network” (IBH) and the Franco-German University Network (FGU).

Health sciences, computer science, engineering, international economics, digital media, business informatics, and industrial engineering are just a few of the courses available here. The different range of courses has been changed to Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in conformity with the Bologna process since the winter semester of 2001/2002. The institution has nine faculties where students can pursue their studies. The University of Bremen Germany is a public university in Bremen, Germany, with a student body of roughly 23,500 students representing 115 nationalities. TH Nürnberg

Nürnberg’s Technische Hochschule in Nuremberg, Bavaria, Georg Simon Ohm is a public Technische Hochschule. It is the second-largest Technische Hochschule in Bavaria, with 12,200 students and 1,800 academic members.

The Technische Hochschule’s emblem is based on the Ohm, an SI-derived unit of electric resistance named after Georg Simon Ohm.

Berlin University of Applied Sciences and Technology

The Berliner Hochschule für Technik (BHT) (German for “Berlin University of Applied Sciences and Technology”) is Berlin’s second-largest University for Applied Sciences. However, BHT has over 12,000 students studying in more than 70 majors, as well as 795 employees, including 291 professors and 43 guest lecturers.

It was also known as Technische Fachhochschule Berlin or TFH Berlin in the past. After Christian Peter Wilhelm Beuth, it was known as Beuth Hochschule für Technik Berlin from 2009 until 2021. The name was changed to the Berliner Hochschule für Technik on October 1, 2021, due to Beuth’s antisemitic background.

National corporations such as Deutsche Bahn, Burger King, the Berlin Promotion Agency, and Audi are part of the BHT’s cooperative program. Moreover, students can participate in a cooperative education program on the job, which allows them to get real work experience. There are currently eight departments with up to nine study programs available, however, it is also known as Berlin’s Olympic Support Centre. HTW Berlin

HTW Berlin, or Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft (University of Applied Sciences for Engineering and Economics), is Berlin’s and Eastern Germany’s largest public university of applied sciences. It also includes about 13,000 students and 75 engineerings, in computer science, business, culture, and design disciplines.

Furthermore, this university is the consequence of the various institutions’ combinations and was declared independent in 1994. In 2009, its name changed from FHTW to finally HTW. And now, this university has only two campuses located in the eastern part of Berlin:
