TU Dresden: a university of public research, the largest institution for advanced education in Dresden city, and one of the largest 10 largest universities of Germany.

The name Technische Universität Dresden only started to be used in 1961, but this university is one of the heritages from back 200 to 1828 years. This proves it to be one of the ancient colleges in Germany in the field of technology as well as one of the country’s grey-haired universities.

TU Dresden is now known in Germany as the institution which takes care of the whole syllabus and it is also a member of TU9 an association of nine leading Institutes of Technology in Germany. The university is among eleven German institutions that have been awarded the title of “University of Excellence” after completing the Excellence Initiative in 2012.

All three stages of the German Universities Excellence Initiative were won by the TU Dresden (Graduate Schools, Future Concept, and Clusters of Excellence).
