Monash University Scholarship 2024-2025 is a fully funded scholarship for international students. The scholarships are available for master’s and doctoral research studies.Â

Selection criteria:
Monash scholarships are very competitive and are available depending on your academic record, any research outputs, and prior research experience.
Eligibility
- An Australian citizen
- A New Zealand citizen
- Australian permanent resident
- Australian humanitarian visa holder
- An International student
You must meet the following criteria:
- have submitted a scholarship application in the current year
- meet Monash’s competitive scholarship selection process requirements; and
- meet Monash’s English language proficiency requirements.
How to apply
Application for graduate research scholarships is made when applying for your course unless you are already enrolled. A single application is used for both admission and scholarship. You do not need to specify which scholarship you are applying to, as you are automatically considered for all graduate research scholarships (where eligible).
Note: This prestigious scholarship is in the 31 October scholarship round only. Eligible applicants from Rounds 1 through to 4 (of the same year) will automatically on the list for this scholarship.
Monash University-Pakistan Higher Education Commission (HEC) Joint Scholarship
This joint scholarship program enables high-achieving Pakistani students to undertake PhD and research degrees here at Monash.
The program aims to support Pakistan’s need for highly qualified engineers, technologists, and scientists in high-tech fields, as well as build up capacity of their universities, research and development organizations, and industries.
Benefits
HEC will provide:
- An annual living allowance;
- Overseas Student Health Cover; and
- One international return airfare by the most economical route.
In addition, Monash will provide (for up to a maximum of 4 years):
- A full tuition fee faculty sponsorship and
- A supplementary (top-up) living allowance up to the RTP stipend rate to support students whilst in Australia.
Note: The living allowance commences upon arrival in Australia and is unable to be backdated for students who commence their studies whilst overseas.
Selection criteria

Eligibility
- A citizen or permanent resident of Pakistan at the time of your application;
- Not have an offer of admission at the time of applying to HEC
- Satisfy HEC selection criteria, apply to HEC for funding, and be shortlisted by HEC for a scholarship
- Meet Monash’s competitive scholarship selection process requirements and
- Meet Monash English language requirements
How to apply
You must complete and submit an application for funding directly to HEC in the first instance.
Once you get confirmation about the shortlisting, you may then apply directly to Monash. Please note that as part of your application, you must first obtain an invitation to apply from the relevant faculty.
