SAIBT International Merit Scholarship 2024

The SAIBT International Merit Scholarship is now open to applicants currently offshore who will be commencing our October intake in 2023. Applicants who meet the scholarship criteria will receive a 15% tuition fee reduction.

Scholarship Criteria

1. The SAIBT International Merit Scholarship is offered to Diploma and ETP applicants.

2. The SAIBT International Merit Scholarship will cover 15% of the applicant’s tuition fees calculated for a maximum of 8 modules.

3. Applicants must be eligible to study in Australia.

4. Applicants must have yet to accept another SAIBT scholarship or bursary.

5. Applicants must meet the Academic and English entry requirements for their chosen

Diploma or ETP.

6. All Offer conditions must be met before accepting the Offer and submitting payment.

7. Applicants must submit their acceptance before Wednesday, 20 September 2023.

8. Admissions will automatically assess applicants at the time the offer is issued.

9. The SAIBT International Merit Scholarship allocation will be applied as a credit to the applicant’s account in the second study period (trimester); however, to be eligible, they must maintain an average GPA of 5.0 for their studies.

10. Recipients of the SAIBT International Merit Scholarship will not be entitled to the Family Bursary or any other scholarship, bursary, incentive, or discount.

11. SAIBT reserves the right to change these terms and conditions without prior notice.

Scholarship conditions

1. Undergraduate Students: As a beneficiary of this scholarship, I am eligible to gain credit,

RPL, or Advanced Standing toward my program, but I still need to complete a minimum of two years (72 units) of on-campus coursework at UniSA. Any granted credit or RPL is included in the 72 units/2-year remaining duration criteria.

2. Postgraduate Students: Because my program will last up to two (2) years, I am not eligible to obtain any credit, RPL, or Advanced Standing as a beneficiary of this award.

3. The International Merit Scholarship recipients must enroll full-time in UniSA’s South Australian campuses.

4. At the start of each appropriate study period, scholarships equal to 15% of tuition fees will be given as a discount on the student contribution invoice (tuition fee) for successful applicants.

5. In order to continue receiving scholarship payments, recipients must maintain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 4.5 (or equivalent). If the recipient’s total GPA is less than 4.5, the 15% discount will not be carried over to the subsequent bill. However, if the awardee’s GPA rises to 4.5 or higher, the 15% discount will resume and be applied to the subsequent invoice.

6. The scholarship must be completed on the date of its onshore start.

The following groups are not eligible for international merit scholarships:

1. Australian citizens or permanent residents; students sponsored by the Australian or foreign governments where a sponsor agreement has been signed with the university; applicants for higher degrees through research

2. Present-day students at UniSA

3. Students who have already received an International Merit Scholarship, except those who are upgrading from undergraduate to graduate school.

Once you submit an application for an eligible degree, you will automatically be assessed.
