6 Steps for Spring Intake in Finland 2024

Step 1: Start Exploring!

Which intake to opt for?

You might have the confusion to decide the intake that will suit you better. We are here to assist you in selecting the appropriate intakes. When deciding on an intake, you should consider the following factors:

  1. Availability of your preferred course.
  2. Acceptance rates.
  3. Your academic records.
  4. Standardized test scores.
  5. Job opportunities available.
  6. Your readiness to join the university.

However, the majority of international students chose to attend the September intake in Finland. January intake is also beneficial for several programs. If you do not have your paperwork ready by the application deadline, you should miss the current intake and apply for the following intake in the country.

  1. Most of the colleges have a first come first serve admission policy for Spring intake in Finland, so you need to start your application process as early as possible. Keep in mind the deadlines of the universities in Finland for the Spring 2024 intake and start your preparations accordingly.
  2. Before that, select the colleges and universities you want to study in. Conduct thorough study on the list of colleges in Finland for the Spring 2024 intake, then examine what courses are available in the Spring 2024 intake, and choose the ones that best suit your academic and career goals. Each University has its application deadlines, so take note of them and consider them before planning.

Step 2: Take the Required Exams

  1. Start your preparation for standardized exams such as GMAT or GRE, two months before the test. Register and take the examinations that your university requires.
  2. You should take your English language test such as the IELTS/TOEFL exam, depending on the course and university requirements, before applying for the institutes.
  3. Keep in mind that it will take some time for the results of the test to be declared. Also, set aside one month in case you need to retake the exam due to an unsatisfactory result.

Step 3: Start Applying to Universities

  1. Look for Spring 2024 intake universities in Finland and shortlist the colleges and Universities before the due dates for the respective institutes. Start applying for colleges. Documentation for applications should begin at least a month before the due date.
  2. Connect with your Managers and professors to get a Letter of recommendation.

  4. Most of the spring intake colleges in Finland 2024 will have their deadline set in for July. Some deadlines might be as late as mid-September but keep yourself updated with the deadlines for Spring 2024 from the university website.

Step 4: Acceptance Letters and Interviews

  1. If you are shortlisted by the Finnish colleges, they will email you. Do not be late responding to them. Attend your personal or video interviews, according to the schedule by the university.
