A public university with four campuses in Brighton and Eastbourne on England’s south coast is known as the University of Brighton. Its beginnings can be found in 1858, the year the Royal Pavilion’s Brighton School of Art was inaugurated. In 1992, it was given university status. According to the Complete University Guide 2023, Brighton is among the top 50 universities in England for graduate results. In the list of the best global universities, the University of Brighton is placed 614. The University of Brighton is listed at number 601 in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. The rate of acceptance is 72%.

Entry Requirements: Undergraduate

We require students with a Higher Secondary School Certificate (and completion of Standard XII Education) to successfully complete an international foundation year or equivalent to enter an undergraduate degree.
A-level: BBB–BCC
International Baccalaureate: 26 points, with three subjects at a Higher level.

Postgraduate

We require a four-year bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 2.5 / 55%, subject to admissions assessment.

English Language Requirements: Undergraduate

IELTS: 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in each component)
TOEFL:72 overall, 18 in writing, 10 in reading, 10 in listening, and 17 in speaking
PTE Academic: 56 (with no less than 51 in each component)

English Language Requirements: Postgraduate

IELTS: 6.5 (with no less than 5.5 in each component)
TOEFL: 85 overall, 18 in writing, 10 in reading, 10 in listening, and 17 in speaking

Brighton International Scholarship

Value: £2,500 and £1,000

Who is eligible?
To be eligible to apply you must:

  1. Be a new, international fee-status student
  2. Beholding an offer for a full-time postgraduate taught degree with a minimum course duration of one year
  3. Be starting your course in September 2022.

You will not be eligible if:

  1. Your course is a PGCert, PGDip, or PhD
  2. You are a student at the University of Brighton partner colleges or affiliate institutions
  3. You are receiving sponsorship from your government
  4. You are an existing student unless starting a new postgraduate program
  5. You applied for an International Scholarship in a previous round

Forward Bound scholarships

About these scholarships
The Forward Bound scholarship is available to Health Promotion MSc applicants from low or lower-middle-income countries where similar postgraduate education opportunities are not available.
Who is eligible?
You need to have been offered a place on the Health Promotion MSc course and be living and/or working in a low- or low-middle-income country as defined by the World Bank.
Applicants would normally be working in a professional capacity in health promotion or a public health role. In exceptional cases, applicants whose influence is through non-paid roles – for example, through voluntary agencies or other health-related work – may also be considered.
Please note: that applicants who have previously had an opportunity to study in the UK (or another higher-income country included in the terms and conditions) are not eligible to apply.

You should have reached a junior or senior national level of competition or performance
You should have been accepted on a University of Brighton course or be a current student of the university, or a directly funded course at a partner college.
