The University of Melbourne Scholarship 2024-2025 is a fully funded scholarship for international students. Students who completed secondary school outside Australia or foundation studies in Australia and are enrolling in undergraduate degree scholarships will be offered to these high-achieving students.

This scholarship provides either a:

  • $10,000 tuition fee remission in the first year of an undergraduate degree.
  • 50 percent fee remission for the three-year duration of an undergraduate degree.

100 percent fee remission for the three-year duration of an undergraduate degree

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

  1. Be a citizen of a country other than Australia and New Zealand and not a permanent resident of Australia.
  2. Completed secondary school outside Australia or a foundation program in Australia.
  3. Received an unconditional offer for an undergraduate course at the University of Melbourne.
  4. Have a secondary school result that places you in the top 3%, such as:
  5. GCE A-levels: at least three A* grades with numerical grades and an average result of at least 97% in the best three subjects.
  6. Most Australian Foundation Studies: an overall result of at least 98%.
  7. US High School: a GPA of at least 3.9 in combination with an SAT of at least 1500 or an ACT of at least 31.
  8. Canada Secondary School: an overall score of at least 97%.
  9. India Secondary School (CBSE, ISCE, or State Board Exam); an overall score of at least 98%.
  10. Vietnam High School: an overall Year 12 GPA of at least 9.7 or above.
  11. Not have previously undertaken any tertiary studies (excluding extension studies completed as part of a year 12 program.

This scholarship offers different benefits to students with the highest selection score based on prior academic results. Selection scores may vary between years and are decided at the time of selection.

No application is required, and students will be automatically considered. 

The Commerce Undergraduate International Merit Scholarships are available to international students commencing the Bachelor of Commerce. The scholarship offers 50% fee remission for the duration of the course (up to 300 credit points).

  2. Have completed an approved Year 12 program or equivalent that meets the eligibility requirements for the Bachelor of Commerce.
  3.  Unconditional offer for the Bachelor of Commerce.

Selection is based on academic merit (i.e., the results you achieved in your most recent years of study).
