Entry Requirements
Candidates who have successfully completed their HSC examinations in Pakistan and who have also completed an approved Foundation Programme can be considered for entry to undergraduate programs.
The International Foundation Year is an intensive 1.5 or 2-semester program designed specifically to provide you with a path to undergraduate degree study at the University. Once you complete the program and achieve the required grades, you can enter the first year of your chosen undergraduate degree at the University.

International Baccalaureate 33, 36, with 6 in Higher Level 38, with 6 at a Higher Level.
Postgraduate
You will usually need a 4-year bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in a relevant subject for entry.
The score required will depend on the university you have attended and the course you have applied to study.

International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship
The scholarships are competitive awards worth 50% of the tuition fee for an undergraduate degree program starting in autumn 2022. The scholarship is available for new international students who meet the eligibility criteria.
Eligibility criteria
- Your program must be scheduled to commence at the University of Sheffield in autumn 2024.
- You must receive an offer for a course studied in full at the University of Sheffield. All undergraduate degree courses are eligible with the exceptions of Medicine (A100/A101) and Dentistry (A200).
- For tuition fee purposes you must be self-funded and eligible to pay the overseas tuition fee.
- You must not be a sponsored student*.
- You must enter a degree program at the University of Sheffield in program year 1 or year 2.
- For scholarship purposes, all MArch programs are considered postgraduate taught programs and are not eligible for this or any other undergraduate scholarship.
Award criteria
- You must commence your studies at the University of Sheffield in autumn 2024.
- The International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship 2024 limit is one award per person.
- The International Undergraduate Merit Scholarship 2024 is not available in conjunction with any of the following scholarships:

NCUK Undergraduate Merit Scholarship
Awards worth 50% of the original tuition fee of an undergraduate degree program starting in September 2022.
Eligibility
All undergraduate degree courses are eligible with the exceptions of Medicine (A100/A101) and Dentistry (A200).
For tuition fee purposes you must be self-funded and eligible to pay the overseas tuition fee.

- You must enter a degree program at the University of Sheffield in program year 1 or year 2.
- For scholarship purposes, all MArch programs are considered postgraduate taught programs and are not eligible for this or any other undergraduate scholarship.
- The University of Sheffield reserves the right to review and change scholarship provisions.
In case of your selection for a merit scholarship, subject to the eligibility and award criteria you will get the award in your first year of study. The scholarship is available in each of the following academic years of your course subject to scoring 60%, or above, and achieving a minimum of 120 credits in the previous academic year
International Merit Postgraduate Scholarship
Each scholarship is a competitive award worth 25% of the original tuition fee for a postgraduate program starting in September 2024. The scholarships are available to all new international students who meet the eligibility criteria.
The deadline for scholarship applications was 13:00 (UK time) on Monday 16 May 2024.
Eligibility criteria
- Your program must commence at the University of Sheffield in autumn 2024.
- All Crossways courses and Erasmus Mundus courses are ineligible for a merit scholarship.
- For tuition fee purposes you must be self-funded and required to pay the overseas tuition fee.
- You must not be a sponsored student.
- If you are studying a 2 year Masters’s program the scholarship will be available in the second year of your studies subject to successful completion of year 1, and all remaining eligibility and award criteria.
- These scholarships are not applicable to any postgraduate courses where the higher clinical fee is applicable. This includes, but is not exclusive to, the following courses:
