The University of Strathclyde is a public research institution providing education in Glasgow, Scotland. Established as the Andersonian Institute in 1796, this institution is the second-oldest in Glasgow. It was the first technological University in the United Kingdom to acquire a royal charter in 1964. In the list of Best Global Universities, the University of Strathclyde comes #365. In the Q.S. World University Rankings 2023, it ranks #=325th. Since 2017, Strathclyde has continuously held a position between 401 and 500 in THE (Times Higher Education) university rankings. Also, the admittance rate at Strathclyde University is 42 percent.

Faculty of Science International Masters Scholarship Physics

Summary: For the 2024–2025 academic year, new overseas students studying in the Department of Physics postgraduate taught masters program will be eligible to apply for scholarships worth £6,000.

The scholarship is accessible to any postgraduate taught master offer holders in the Department of Physics who satisfy the eligibility requirements. Scholarship application is not required.

Eligibility

A candidate must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the Faculty of Science International Masters Scholarship for Physics:

  1. Be a new international fee-paying student who has an offer of admission for a full-time taught master’s degree in the Department of Physics by July 31, 2024, and who must apply by July 31 of that same year.
  2. Be self-funded. Applicants who obtain full scholarships—for instance, from an embassy or government office—will not be qualified.

Terms and conditions

  1. To be eligible for a Faculty of Science International Masters Scholarship for Physics, applicants must fulfill all of the above requirements. Recipients of the scholarship must enroll in the 2024–2025 academic year and continue to satisfy all requirements to be eligible for their grant. The scholarship will expire if the recipient decides to postpone their offer of admission to the upcoming academic year. The student will receive the scholarship to help with their tuition costs.
  2. The deadline for consideration is July 31, 2024.
  3. The amount of each prize is £6,000.
  4. Students may only get one University of Strathclyde scholarship each academic year.
  5. The final decision on scholarship distribution belongs to the Faculty of Science. Appeals won’t be taken into account.
How to apply

The scholarship is accessible to any postgraduate taught master offer holders in the Department of Physics who satisfy the eligibility requirements. No requirement for a separate scholarship application.

Awards will be allocated starting January 17, 2024.

E.U. Engagement Scholarship Undergraduate Study

The value of the scholarship available is noted below:

Undergraduate scholarships

  1. £5,000 a year for courses in the Social Sciences and Humanities faculty.
  2. £5,000 a year for studies at Strathclyde Business School.
  3. £8,000 annually for all full-time Faculty of Engineering courses available to qualified E.U. students.
  4. £6,000 to £8,000 per year for Science Faculty courses, as indicated below:
  5. £7,000 for all full-time undergraduate degrees in the Department of Computer & Information Sciences; £6,000 for all full-time undergraduate degrees in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics; £8,000 for all full-time undergraduate degrees from the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences, Pure & Applied Chemistry, and Physics departments.

Summary

With great pleasure, it presents its E.U. Engagement Scholarships, which will provide financial assistance to full-time undergraduate students starting classes in 2024. E.U. applicants who were previously eligible for Home (Scottish/E.U.) fee status but are now considered eligible for International fee status due to Brexit will be allowed to apply for the scholarships.

Undergraduate scholarships will be given to students who meet our qualifying requirements for each year of study.

Eligibility
  1. E.U. applicants who were previously eligible for Home (Scottish/E.U.) fee status but are now considered eligible for International fee status due to Brexit are eligible for the scholarships.
  2. You do not need to submit a separate application for this scholarship because your studies application will be reviewed to determine your eligibility at the time of application.
  3. Automatic scholarship applications will be made to E.U. nationals, and their dependent family members can pay for themselves if they meet the following requirements.
  4. They will be enrolled full-time in undergraduate or postgraduate taught master’s programs in 2024.
  5. Applicants will be residents of the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the U.K. at the time of application.
  6. They will be classified as international for tuition fee purposes.
  7. Scholarship recipients are not eligible for this one.
How to apply

When you apply for a study, your eligibility will be examined. Therefore, you do not need to apply separately for this scholarship.
