The University of Wollongong is an Australian public research institution began in 1951. It currently has nine campuses throughout Australia. According to the QS World University Rankings 2024, it is #162. In the list of Best Global Universities, it is rated #186.
Scholarships are awarded to students who have excelled in the classroom, leadership roles, community, or athletics. Additionally, it promised to use equity awards and scholarship programs to assist students facing obstacles in their academic careers, including financial ones.

Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarships, students must:
- Enroll in any undergraduate program offered by UOW in 2024 (only on Australian campuses), including honors programs starting the year after graduation. Nutrition and Dietetics, Rehabilitation and Exercise Science, Education, Social Work, and Psychology are not on the list.
- Possess outstanding performance in one of the following categories and be a foreign student.
- Australian Year 12 or an equivalent international secondary school qualification; Foundation Studies programs approved for direct admission to Bachelor degrees and offered at an institution recognized by UOW
- Academic pathways: Diploma or other academic program accepted for entrance with credit examination from an institution with which UOW has a formal agreement; academic programs (including bachelor’s degrees) approved for admission into bachelor’s degrees and given at an institution recognized by UOW
- Not be receiving any further discounts, bursaries, sponsorships, or scholarships.
- Obtain a minimum Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 50 at each enrollment session.

Eligibility
- If international students decide to enroll in coursework programs at the University of Wollongong starting in 2024 and beyond, they will be eligible for the Country Specific Bursary right away.
- If the student has an academic package offer and the primary offer is one of the eligible degrees, the bursary will also be accessible to the other academic courses in the package.
- Students can only receive one (1) UOW scholarship, sponsorship, or bursary for the same course.
Joint UOW – HEC Pakistan Scholarships
To jointly finance PhD scholarships at UOW for Pakistani students, UOW and the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan have an agreement.
The UOW-HEC Scholarship, which offers a living allowance of $19,000AUD annually and a tuition scholarship for up to four years, will be available to successful applicants. Furthermore, HEC will cover an overseas return ticket and Overseas Health Cover (OSHC) for four years. Kindly contact the Graduate Research School with any questions.Â
