Athabasca University

A.U. Award for Graduate Studies

Donor Emil C. Fredericks

Value  $1000

Number Awarded:    1

Awards details:

Awarded yearly to the Master’s level student with the greatest grade point average in the four best relevant Graduate courses during these two years (September 1 of the prior two years to August 31 of the current year). Must have finished at least four program-relevant courses. Each Academic Centre will nominate Students for the prize, and the students must be enrolled in the program by August 31 of the current year. The prize is alternated between Academic Centers every year.

The selection process for the ‘Nomination Award’ is straight forward. A student’s course grade or G.P.A. determines it solely, with no need for an application form. The Students Award Unit conducts an internal selection process to identify the most deserving recipient. The recipient is notified directly of their award once a selection is made. It’s important to note that every student who meets the eligibility criteria will be considered for this prestigious award.
