The Australian National University (ANU) is a public research university located in Canberra, the capital of Australia. It ranks at #79th Graduate Employability Ranking by QS Rankings 2023. ANU offers several scholarships for international postgraduate students. These ANU international Scholarships offer an opportunity for students from around the world to access one of multiple scholarships available to postgraduate students. INCE recipients will be selected based on their academic and non-academic history. They will be evaluated based on their admission application to ANU.

ANU Chancellor’s International Scholarship

About this scholarship

The ANU Chancellor’s International Scholarship offers an opportunity for students from around the world to access one of multiple scholarships available to undergraduate and postgraduate students. The scholarship is to attract a diverse range of high caliber international students to commence study at ANU.

Eligibility

The scholarship is available to a commencing ANU student who:

  1. Is defined as an overseas student under the terms of the Education Services for Overseas Students Act 2000 and does not hold a 995 visa (unless enrolling in an eligible postgraduate program); and
  2. Has received an offer of admission to commence at the University in an eligible program (excluded programs listed above); and
  3. Meets the conditions of the program for which they have received an offer of admission including the requirement to be onshore for some components (if applicable); and
  4. Has not received the scholarship previously for the same level of study.

Selection

Selection depends on the basis of academic merit. Qualifications submitted for admission to the University will be converted to the common scale which will determine an applicant’s place on the merit list. Eligible applicants with multiple qualifications will be ranked according to the qualification used as the basis of admission.

How to apply?

There is no need to apply for the scholarship. All eligible overseas students applying for admission to commence at the university will be automatically on the consideration list.

You will need to accept both your academic offer and your scholarship offer separately. More information to be provided with your scholarship offer letter.

College of Arts and Social Sciences Academic Excellence Masters Scholarship

About this scholarship

The award is available to international students who have been offered admission to a Master’s or Master’s Advanced program by the College. The objective of the award is to support, enable, and encourage international students to undertake studies in the arts or social sciences at the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences.

Funding for this award has been provided by the ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences.

Eligibility

The award is available each year to a prospective ANU student who:

  1. Is an international student

How to apply

There is no application as there is automatic consideration for students depending on them meeting the eligibility criteria or conditions present under the eligibility section.

Benefits

The value of the award is $ 20,000. The duration of the award is one year, paid in two equal installments following the census date each semester unless otherwise stated in the letter of offer.

Research School of Accounting International Grant

About this scholarship

The Research School of Accounting (RSA) at the ANU College of Business and Economics is offering support in the form of a one-off financial assistance grant.

The Grant aims to assist international students with citizenship from countries in South Asia (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan or Sri Lanka) with the cost of studying and establishing themselves as new students in RSA undergraduate and/or postgraduate programs.
