A public Catholic women’s liberal arts institution, Brescia University College, serves students in London, Ontario, Canada. Brescia is the only women’s college at the university level in Canada, and its affiliation is with the University of Western Ontario. The Ursuline Sisters, devout women of religion dedicated to social justice, volunteerism, and the advancement of women, established the order in 1919. It has a 14:1 student-to-teacher ratio and about 1,500 undergraduate students. Despite being a Catholic university, Brescia welcomes students from various backgrounds and religions making up 11% of its student body.
