Hacettepe University

Hacettepe University is a prestigious Turkish state institution in Ankara. It came into being on 8 July 1967. There are two primary campuses for the university. The Ankara Medical Center is on the first campus in the city’s historic district. The second campus, Beytepe Campus, is 13 kilometers (8 miles) from the city center. The colleges of economic and administrative sciences, law, education, engineering, fine arts, letters, and science are on the Beytepe Campus, which has a total area of 6,000,000 m2 (600 hectares; 1,483 acres) of open space and woodland. Its objective is to train and develop students as individuals with integrity and depth of knowledge in all sectors of science, technology, and the arts. It is a research-oriented institution committed to promoting excellence in education following universal principles.

Hacettepe University ranking

In 2021, URAP gave it the top spot among Turkish universities. Moreover, according to the QS world universities rankings in 2023, it holds a position between 801-1000. In addition, the institution ranks #554 in Best Global Universities. Furthermore, it comes 5th in the list of best universities in Turkey. Additionally, the world university rankings 2023 place this university between 601-800th. Also, according to the Impact rankings and young university rankings, it ranks between 201-300th and 151-200th, respectively. Besides that, 95% is the Hacettepe University acceptance rate.

University Programs

The university has 14 faculties for dentistry, economics and administrative science, education, engineering, fine arts, health sciences, law, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, science, and sport science. Also, the university estate also includes 104 research and application centers, 14 graduate schools and institutes, two applied schools, one conservatory, five vocational schools, and two applied schools. In addition, more than 150 undergraduate degree programs and more than 200 postgraduate degree programs are available at Hacettepe.
