Ajman University (AU), founded in 1988, is situated in the Al Jurf area of Ajman. It holds the distinction of being the first university in the UAE to admit expatriate students, opening the way for inclusivity and diversity in higher education. Ajman University QS World University Rankings 2026 is ranked 440 globally, marking its highest position to date.  In 2025, it was placed 477 globally in QS, and among the top 5 universities in the UAE. It also earned recognition in subject rankings, it ranks in the top 51–100 globally for Data Science & Artificial Intelligence , in the 151-200 band for Pharmacy & Pharmacology, and in the 201-250 band for Computer Science, Information Systems, and Mathematics. Moreover, internationally it has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first private, non-profit university in the Arab region to receive full accreditation from the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC).  Ajman University acceptance rate, no official figure is publicly disclosed. However, available information suggests admissions are moderately selective, based on academic qualifications and program-specific requirements.
