The University of Birmingham is a government research platform based in Edgbaston, Birmingham, United Kingdom. In 1900, Birmingham University got a legal order to supersede Queen’s College of Birmingham and Mason Science College. The UOB  in England was the first university that was granted a royal charter for the first time as a municipal or “red brick” university in England.
