Flinders University is a public research university based in Adelaide, South Australia, with a footprint extending across 11 locations in South Australia and the Northern Territory. Began in 1966, it gets its name in honor of navigator Matthew Flinders, who explored and surveyed the South Australian coastline in the early 19th century. It ranks #380 in the QS World University Rankings 2024. Flinders University comes 301 in the World University Rankings by Times Higher Education. The university also holds #426th position in Best Global Universities.

Flinders offers a 100% tuition fee scholarship for international undergraduate students from a refugee background. All Flinders Academy Diploma and Foundations Studies students are eligible for a 20% scholarship. Flinders University Scholarships are designed to support international students who wish to undertake full-time study at the university.

Flinders International High School Scholarships Australia

The scholorship has been designed to recognise international students with high academic performance who are studying an Australian high school curriculum, either onshore in Australia or offshore at an approved international school, who commence an undergraduate course with Flinders.

Scholarship eligibility

1. Available to new students only.
2. Total fee-paying international students (citizens of Australia and New Zealand and Australian Permanent Residents or other permanent visa holders are ineligible to apply).
3. Open to international students of any nationality.
4. Available to applicants of an eligible course as outlined in the Terms and Conditions.
5. Students must meet other standard entry criteria, including English language requirements, topic prerequisites, or work experience.
6. Continuing eligibility requires students to maintain a GPA of 4.0 and a full-time load of study.

Scholarship exclusions

1. Scholarships are not available to current Flinders students transferring between Flinders courses.
2. Scholarships are not available to students in receipt of financial support from the Australian government, a foreign government, or another Flinders University scholarship.

Flinders Go Beyond Scholarships

Flinders Go Beyond Scholarships are designed to recognize international students with high academic performance and the potential to positively contribute to Flinders and the global community.
Our Go Beyond Scholarships allow international students to pursue their educational and career goals so they can go beyond the ordinary and achieve extraordinary.

Vice-Chancellor International Scholarships

Value	50% reduction in tuition fees for the duration of the program.
Requirment	Undergraduate applicants require an equivalent minimum ATAR 95 or above

Selection process

1. These scholarships are competitive awards and are confirmed through a selection process. For those shortlisted, you must complete a video submission outlining your suitability for the scholarship.
2. Applicants will be notified of the scholarship outcome during the selection process.
3. Applicants eligible for an alternate scholarship will be issued an offer, including a scholarship, at the time of application.
4. Successful recipients must participate in the Flinder international ambasdor programme  and actively support Flinders University in promoting Flinders globally.

Excellence Scholarships

Value	25% reduction in tuition fees for the duration of the program
Requirments	Undergraduate applicants require an equivalent minimum ATAR 80 or above.

Global Scholarships

Value	20% reduction in tuition fees for the duration of the program.
Requirments	Undergraduate applicants require an equivalent ATAR 70 or above and exceed the Flinders entry score by a 5 ATAR.

Scholarship Eligibility

3. Scholarships are unavailable to students transferring to Flinders with credit from studies completed at another institution.
4. Scholarships are unavailable for graduate certificates, graduate diploma courses, or research higher degree courses.

Pathways Scholarships
