La Trobe University awards scholarships to first-semester undergraduate students each year, depending on their academic standing. Its scholarships provide advantages over financial aid. La Trobe High Achiever Scholarship

La Trobe University values academic achievement highly. This prize will be given preference to international candidates with excellent academic records who are considering applying to undergraduate programs.

Outstanding international students are awarded the La Trobe High Achiever Scholarship. This award is worth 15% and 25% of the annual tuition costs for the duration of the studies.

The University shall select recipients of the scholarship based on their:

In order to be eligible to apply for this award, applicants must:

1. Apply to start an undergraduate or graduate-level course of study and be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand.
2. Apply as a first-time overseas applicant for the 2024–2025 intake.
3. Pay all of your fees as a non-sponsored student.
4. Not available to those with humanitarian or other permanent visas.
5. Apply to a course that is on the list of acceptable programs.

How to apply

After applying for an approved course, applicants will automatically be considered for the scholarship.

La Trobe University Excellence Scholarship – South Asia & Africa

In order to be eligible to apply for this award, applicants must:

1. Occupy and be a Mauritius, Bangladesh, Kenya, Nepal, Sri Lanka, or Pakistan citizen.
2. You must be at least eighteen years old at the beginning of the course or live with a Department of Home Affairs-approved student guardian until you reach eighteen.
3. Own a WAM* accomplishment of 80% or higher overall.
4. In 2023, they can start studying at any of Victoria’s La Trobe University campuses.
5. Fulfill the offer letter’s additional conditions and the university’s English language proficiency requirements.

Recipients of the scholarship will be selected by the University depending on their:

Academic standing, involvement in extracurricular activities, and any other noteworthy accomplishments.

Recipient obligations

1. They continue to enrol full-time at one of La Trobe University’s Australian campuses and make good academic progress throughout their studies.
2. During their study term, the scholarship beneficiaries must agree to represent La Trobe International as an international student ambassador.

How to apply

1. Applicants must complete an application for the course starting in the Summer 1 / Term 6 or Semester 2  intake of 2025 at La Trobe University’s Victorian campuses.
2. Before the application closing date, applicants must also submit the following documentation:

4. A personal essay of 300 words or a video that is four to five minutes long and explains “Why you should be awarded the La Trobe University Excellence Scholarship” will be turned in.

Regional Scholarship – International Students

Recipient obligations

1. Students must maintain satisfactory academic standing and be full-time students at one of La Trobe University’s Australian campuses while pursuing their education.
2. The students must meet the offer letter’s terms and conditions.
3. The entire course of study should be taken at a La Trobe Regional Campus.

How to apply

1. After applying, candidates will immediately be evaluated for the scholarship based on the course’s eligibility.
2. The offer letter will mention the scholarship.

In order to be eligible for this scholarship, applicants need to:

1. Possess citizenship from a country other than Australia or New Zealand.
2. Apply to any regional campus of La Trobe University.
3. Be applying for any 2024–2025 undergraduate or graduate coursework intakes that qualify.
