Swinburne International Excellence Postgraduate Scholarships
Depending on your GPA (or equivalent), you could get up to 30% off on tuition for the length of your study. |
You must have obtained an academic score of at least 60% GPA Australian standard equivalent to qualify for this award. By default, all participants in the existing ELICOS program will not qualify for this grant. |
Students pursuing the Master of Information Technology (Professional Computing) or Master of Science (Network Systems) can receive a $2,500 tuition reduction. |
Excluded courses: Three master’s degrees in physiotherapy, dietetics, and occupational therapy.
Eligibility criteria
To get this scholarship, you have to:
- Be an international student (permanent residents of Australia and citizens of New Zealand are not eligible)
- Fulfill any entry requirements unique to the course or scholarship and not have any Swinburne scholarship or reduced tuition arrangement.
- You must maintain a 75% study load if awarded a scholarship based on performance. Successful applicants for our top scholarships must continue to meet academic standards.

If you are already enrolled in our ELICOS program and/or have received the ELICOS+ scholarship, you will be automatically considered for this scholarship.

Pio Iovenitti Engineering Excellence Scholarship
The award began in memory of Associate Professor Pio Iovenitti by his family and former colleagues to recognize Pio’s outstanding work and legacy. Pio was a valuable member of the Swinburne community for almost 30 years, particularly in the Faculty of Engineering.

Eligibility/selection criteria
To be eligible for the Pio Iovenitti Engineering Excellence Scholarship, applicants must fulfill the following requirements:
- Citizenship or Permanent Residency in Australia, or International Student
Fulfill the subsequent enrollment requirements:
- They are in their second year. A Swinburne student enrolled full-time in the Master of Engineering Science program and plans to continue studying there in Semester 1, 2024, must have completed 100 credit points and attained a minimum credit average from their first year of study.
- Send in a 500-word personal statement covering the following topics:
- Enthusiasm for your chosen field of work and how this scholarship can help you reach your objectives.
- Give your first year’s academic transcript for the Master of Engineering Science program.
How to apply
By March 31, 2024, applicants must complete an online application and submit it with all necessary supporting papers. For an application to be accepted, it must be completed.
