The university operates sites throughout Toronto, although its main campus is located in the Garden District. In 1948, the university began operations. The university received a worldwide ranking of 901 to 1000 in the 2022 Academic Ranking of World Universities. It received a ranking of 801 to 1000 in the 2023 QS World University Rankings. International Secondary School Merit Scholarship
The International Secondary School Merit Scholarship is available to international students who are entering their first year of a full-time, four-year bachelor’s degree program at Toronto Metropolitan University and display academic excellence, commitment to volunteer work and extracurricular activities, and leadership skills.
Seven (7) recipients | $5,000 (entrance only, non-renewable)
A minimum 85%/ A or equal final admission average is necessary for consideration.
Note: International Students are acceptable to apply for this award. Applicants with a gap between their higher school and post-secondary studies are eligible to apply if their gap is no longer than one year.
International Student Winter Merit Scholarship
The International Student Winter Merit Scholarship is awarded to international students who are entering their first year of a full-time, four-year undergraduate degree program at Toronto Metropolitan University in January 2023. The award is intended to recognize students who demonstrate academic excellence, commitment to volunteer work and extracurricular activities, and leadership skills.
Two (2) recipients | $5,000 (entrance only, non-renewable)
President’s Entrance Scholarships
The President’s Entrance Scholarship is awarded to higher school students who demonstrate academic accomplishment, leadership qualities, original thought and creative ability.
Twelve (12) recipients | $40,000 (total value) | $10,000 (annual amount) (renewable)
A minimum 90% final admission average is necessary for consideration. An ‘s average is calculated with their best six Grade 12 U/M courses or their home country’s equivalent.
A minimum 85%/ A or equal final admission average is necessary for consideration.
