University of Adelaide International Scholarships
Founded in 1874, the Institution of Adelaide is a public research institution in Adelaide, South Australia. It is Australia’s third-oldest university. About 75% of students are accepted into the institution for all courses. The university is ranked #74 among the Best Global Universities and #89 in the QS World University Rankings 2024. It is now rated 88th in the world by the 2023 Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
The University of Adelaide offers scholarships to international students who intend to engage in undergraduate, graduate, or study abroad programs. The university rewards students who have demonstrated academic achievement in their prior coursework. When scholarship recipients start at the university in 2025, international tuition prices will be lowered by 15% or 30%.

Global Citizens Scholarship (International)

Academic excellence is the foundation for this scholarship, and the merit attained in the qualifying serves as the basis for admission.

This scholarship is available to:
1. International students starting their coursework award program at the University of Adelaide in 2025 Direct admission applicants for undergraduate and graduate award programs, including those who must complete a Pre-Enrollment English Program (PEP) prior to the start of their degree program.
2. Candidates who achieve the required minimum score.
3. Available for study in any discipline (some exclusions apply); open to citizens of any nation enrolling as international students, with the exception of Australia and New Zealand.
How to Apply
At the time of application, eligibility for the scholarship is automatically determined. The office of Admission will inform applicants of their eligibility for the award. There is no need for a separate application form.
Excluded Programs
The following programs at the University of Adelaide are excluded from this Scholarship initiative:
Faculty of Science, Engineering and Technology (SET):
• Bachelor of Science (Veterinary Bioscience)
• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (c) Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences (FHMS):
All FHMS programs are excluded from this scholarship initiative other than the following:
• Bachelor of Health & Medical Science
• Bachelor of Health & Medical Science (Advanced)
• Bachelor of Nursing
• Bachelor of Oral Health
• Bachelor of Psychological Science
• Bachelor of Psychology (Advanced) (Honours)

Global Academic Excellence Scholarship (International)
A highly competitive grant, the University of Adelaide 2025 Global Academic Excellence 50% Scholarships (International) recognizes international students who have excelled academically in their prior courses and are starting undergraduate or graduate study.

This scholarship is available to
- Applicants for direct admission undergraduate and graduate award programs, including those who must complete a Pre-Enrollment English Program (PEP) prior to the start of their degree.
- Candidates who achieve the required minimum score.
- Available to international students and students who have finished their most recent degrees in Australia, including citizens of Taiwan, Colombia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.
- Accessible for study in any field (with a few exclusions).
How to Apply
Eligibility for the scholarship is determined during the selection process when the student applies to the University of Adelaide’s award program.
Eligibility
Applicants will be eligible to be evaluated for a 50% scholarship where they have proved they have attained the minimal score indicated as follows:
Applicants with a minimum ATAR of 99.9 (or comparable score) for admittance to an undergraduate (UG) program.

The Eynesbury College High Achiever Progression Scholarship

Scholarship Value | Students must have finished their program at Eynesbury College before continuing to the University of Adelaide to be eligible for a 10% tuition fee discount if they accept their unconditional offer within one week of it being issued and a 5% tuition fee discount if they accept it within two weeks. |
Scholarship Duration | For as long as the scholar’s selected undergraduate program requires full-time enrolment. |
Eligibility
- Be a graduate of Eynesbury College.
- To be eligible, a student must have a minimum grade of 319 or higher for Foundation, or a GPA of 3.0 for the Diploma
- Â Have a full or conditional offer of admission from the University of Adelaide as an international student paying full tuition
- Enroll full-time for each degree study period; and complete the acceptance procedures outlined in your admissions offer.
Note: Applicants for scholarships who are eligible for multiple University of Adelaide scholarships will only receive one scholarship, which is the highest-value scholarship award for which they are eligible.
Exclusions
- Students currently enrolled at the University of Adelaide who are moving between degrees before successfully completing their course of study (internal transfers).
- Students that receive tuition-free scholarships from a reputable scholarship organisation, like a government department or ministry.
- Candidates for PhD or Master by Research programs.
How to apply
Applying for the Eynesbury College International Scholarship is unnecessary. It will be automatically awarded to students who meet the eligibility requirements. Scholarships will be confirmed at the point of acceptance.

Scholarships are available all year long. Applicants are advised to complete the admissions procedure as soon as possible.
