Located in Bruce, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, the University of Canberra is a public research university. Under the Canberra College of Advanced Education Act 1967(Cth), the Commonwealth Government founded the university as the Canberra College of Advanced Education in 1967. On January 1, 1990, the College changed its name to the University of Canberra. It is placed #=421 in the QS World University Rankings 2024. The University of Canberra is ranked #593 on the list of the Best Global Universities. The University of Canberra offers a number of undergraduate scholarships to international students. 

When you get your offer letter from the Admissions Office, you will instantly be evaluated for any eligible scholarships based on academic merit and made an offer of any such awards. Hundreds of scholarships and bursaries are available from UC to help you pay for your undergraduate or graduate studies as a resident or international student.

UC International Course Merit Scholarship

1. It is given to newly arriving international applicants for admission to a certain UC Bachelor’s degree from selected nations.
2. To be eligible for this grant, undergraduate students must have earned a grade point average of at least 70% in their Year 12 coursework.
3. The Admissions Office evaluates and distributes this award when an offer is made.

Students pursuing diplomas, sponsorship, or articulation are not eligible.

The scholarship is only available to students in the following areas

Sri Lanka
Vietnam, Bhutan, and the Philippines
Kenya
Nigeria
The island of Mauritius
Indonesia
Korea

• NPB002 Bachelor of Medical Science
• NPB001 Bachelor of Science (Biomedical Science)
• ENB001 Bachelor of Science (Environmental Science)

Academic achievement requirements include

GPA of 5.7For bachelor’s degrees, a GPA of 5 out of 7 or above 70% (or an equivalent grade)

UC International Merit Scholarship

It was given to new overseas applicants for undergraduate and graduate programs at the University of California’s Sydney Hills or Bruce campuses.

When students apply to a course at UC, they are all evaluated for scholarships. No additional application is necessary.

Students pursuing diplomas, sponsorship, or articulation are not eligible.

Academic achievement requirements include

For bachelor’s degrees, a GPA of 6 out of 7 85% (or a comparable grade) or above

UC International High Achiever Scholarship

It was given to new overseas applicants for undergraduate and graduate programs at the University of California’s Sydney Hills or Bruce campuses.

Students pursuing diplomas, sponsorship, or articulation are not eligible.

UC International Partnership High Achievers Scholarship

It was given to first-year foreign articulation students wishing to enroll in the Bruce campus’ UC Bachelor program.

Diplomatic and sponsored students are not permitted.

Academic achievement requirements include

1. 85% or more overall, based on recent research
2. For undergraduate purposes, studying at the Bruce campus requires a minimum of 36 credit points.
