University of Manitoba scholarships

International Undergraduate Student Entrance Scholarship

Scholarships will be offered to students who:

  1. Are international students (i.e. residents of Canada with valid study permits) who submitted for admission to any Faculty or School at the University of Manitoba by the March 1 deadline.
  2. Are paying the international student tuition fee rates;
  3. Have achieved a minimum high school average of 85% based on the best five senior-level academic courses.
  4. Each year, the monetary worth of each prize is determined in levels based on high school grade averages.
  5. Averages greater than or equal to 95% – $3,000.
  6. Averages greater than or equal to 90% – $2,000
  7. Averages greater than or equal to 85% – $1,000

International Student Bursaries

To be eligible for bursaries at the University of Manitoba, you must apply through Aurora for the University of Manitoba General Bursary in addition to any individual applications that may be necessary for specific prizes.

During early August, general bursary applications for the Fall and Winter Terms will be accessible via the Aurora Student Portal. This application, together with supporting paperwork, is due to the Financial Aid and Awards office by October 1. International students in their first year of postsecondary education in Canada are ineligible to qualify for the general bursary program.

International Undergraduate Student Scholarships

The International Undergraduate Student Scholarship was created to recognize academic performance among foreign students at The University of Manitoba.

Scholarships are offered to international students who:

Are in Canada on valid study permits; who have completed a minimum of 24 credit hours in any Faculty or School at the University of Manitoba; show exceptional academic achievement on courses completed in the last regular academic session (minimum sessional grade point average of 3.5); are continuing in the next consecutive year of full-time undergraduate study in their program during the Fall/Winter academic session.

Those who match the aforementioned requirements will be ranked according to their sessional grade point average, and scholarships will be awarded until all available funds have been used or the grade point threshold is met. By the end of July, eligible beneficiaries will be contacted.
