UQ PhD Industry Placement Scholarship
About this scholarship
This is a token of appreciation for the time you invested in completing a placement for your application.
Should you fulfil the requirements, this scholarship will give you the following:
- A three-month extension (up to 3.75 years FTE) for the deadline for submitting your thesis.
- Extension of tuition fee offset scholarship for three months.
- A three-month increase in your living allowance.

Eligibility
You’re eligible if you:
- Are candidates for P.H.D.s who have completed their studies.Â
- Industry Placement that was coordinated by the Graduate School and is receiving a living stipend sponsored by UQ for at least 60 working days.
- Collaborated with the Graduate School to organise and notify them of your intention to participate in an HDR Placement by filing and having your project brief approved via my UQ within the first 18 months of candidature.
Rules
This scholarship cannot be combined with any other extension providing a living stipend.
