South Australia, Australia’s state, has the University of South Australia, a non-private research studies institution. Also known by its abbreviation (UniSA). It is a constituent member of the Australian Technology Network of universities and has about 37,000 students, making it the most prominent institution in South Australia.The South Australian Institute of Technology came into existence in 1991 as the (South Australian School of Mines and Industries) began in 1889 and the (South Australian College of Advanced Education), which began in 1856,were combined, giving it its present structure.The Hon. Mike Rann, MP, Minister of Labour and Further Education, introduced the bill to create and rename the new University of South Australia.According to the University’s Act, the original purpose of the university was “to maintain, expand and knowledge resources through teaching, investigation, scholarship, and consultation, and to provide training materials that will improve the diversified cultural life of the wider community.”
