University of Alberta is a government post-secondary research institution in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It is commonly popular as U of A or UAlberta. Alexander Cameron Rutherford, the first premier of Alberta, and Henry Marshall Tory, the institution’s first president, began U of A in 1908.
