PhD Top-Up Grant

The Wollongong University PHD Scholarships are offering a top-up grant of up to $10,000 for three years in the priority area of criminal justice and issues related to intoxication. It also includes violence related to alcohol and drugs, anti-social behavior, and other forms of offending, to assist an outstanding Ph.D. candidate in starting their research career at UOW Law.

A top-notch Ph.D. candidate who successfully applies for a complete Ph.D. The Strategic Ph.D. Top Up Grant will be awarded to a recipient of a scholarship, such as an International Postgraduate Tuition Award (IPTA), University Postgraduate Award (UPA), or Australian Postgraduate Award (APA). Eligibility and application details

  1. The scholarship offers a stipend of $AUD 26,288* each year (tax-free and annually indexed) for three and a half (3.5) years of full-time study. The three-year Strategic PhD Top Up Grant has a maximum value of $10,000.
  2. Applicants for Ph.D. scholarships must possess the following:
  3. First-class honors, a master’s degree through coursework with a substantial research component, or a master’s degree through research
  4. Extra relevant research experience, publications that have undergone peer review, honors, and prizes will all be given consideration.
  5. Applications for admission to the Higher Degree Research (HDR) program and scholarships should be sent to [email protected]. It should include a cover letter outlining relevant experience, your CV, and academic transcripts. A summary of your intended research project, a copy of your passport or birth certificate, and your academic transcript should all be included.

Summer Research Scholarships

ELIGIBILITY

For this Wollongong University PHD Scholarship, the following are the eligibility criteria.

  1. This scholarship is for exceptional students who plan to continue to a higher degree in EIS after completing their undergraduate studies (four-year honors, end-on honors, or double degree).
  2. Although second-year high achievers are welcome to apply, third- or fourth-year students will be given preference when scholarships are awarded.
  3. Applicants may also be full-time Master’s students studying in coursework.
  4. (Students finishing their undergraduate degrees this year and applying for a research degree and related scholarship to start in EIS the following year may be eligible for some funding.)

  3. Discuss your suitability for the project with potential supervisors.
