Ankara University is a public educational institution in the famous city of Ankara, the capital city of Turkey. Following the establishment of the republic in 1923, it was the country’s first higher education institution to be established. The university’s objective is to educate individuals who will lead society in science and the arts from a global viewpoint and advance the disciplines of science, technology, and skills through its distinctive and accomplished research. Nearly 70,000 students are now studying in Ankara’s 17 faculties. The campus houses undergraduate students and provides a range of educational and recreational amenities. A sports center, a pool, a gym, and several student societies are available as amenities.

Ankara University programs

It offers a broad range of academic programs, including classes in the social, medical, natural, and applied sciences as well as the arts and sports. Additionally, it provides programs at the associate, undergraduate, master’s, and doctorate levels. There are also online and continuing education options. Moreover, the institution offers 120 undergraduate programs, 110 graduate programs, and 40 vocational programs. Additionally, the University provides education through associate (two-year) degree programs, and undergraduate (bachelor degree programs), through its 15 faculties, two vocational schools, nine colleges, and a state conservatory. Furthermore, its 13 graduate schools offer graduate-level instruction. With numerous partnerships, Ankara has participated in the Erasmus program since 2004.
