Istanbul Bilgi University is a non-public higher educational institution in Istanbul, Turkey. It officially came into existence in 1996. It is a multi-campus university in Istanbul, namely SantralIstanbul, Kuştepe, Dolapdere, and Kozyatağı. This Turkish university will have almost 20,000 students and 45,000 graduates by 2020. Since its founding, BLG has been developing a cultural and scientific community that values diversity in people’s lifestyles, religious views, and philosophical perspectives within modern universal ideals while fostering close relationships with all facets of society. Since its founding by the Bilgi Education and Cultural Foundation in 1996, the university has had a strong reputation within the Turkish higher education sector. The university embraces the idea of “learning not for school but for life”. This idea has elevated it to one of the top Turkish Universities across all degree types and academic levels.

University Programs

For its associate, undergraduate, and graduate students, there are seven faculties, three institutes, four schools, three vocational schools, and more than 150 programs available. Also, the seven faculties include architecture, business, communication, engineering and natural sciences, health sciences, law, and social sciences and humanities. Moreover, the university has three vocational schools that provide real-world, business-related training. In addition, they include the Vocational School of Health Sciences, the Vocational School of Justice, and the School of Advanced Vocational Studies. Additionally, students may also apply to participate in the International Laureate Summer School Program or the Summer School Program. Furthermore, the provision, upkeep, and expansion of an academic environment that enables teachers and students to engage in the most outstanding caliber of learning and knowledge production are under the purview of BLG.
