A variety of scholarships are offered by Edith Cowan University (ECU) to help postgraduate students, both domestic and international, achieve their academic and research objectives. The goals of these scholarships are to encourage innovative research, advance academic excellence, and reduce the cost of a college education.

Centre for Precision Health Masters Scholarship

Guidelines for eligibility

You must have met these minimal requirements in order to be eligible for this scholarship:

1. Have finished your bachelor’s degree by the conclusion of the 2025 summer;
2. Offered the chance to join without conditions in the 2025 start of the ECU Master of Medical and Health Science by Research (J90) program.
3. You are eligible to apply for this scholarship if you have applied for course entry but have not yet received an offer. If you receive an unconditional course offer by the scholarship’s closing date, June 30, your application will be reviewed in 2025.

If any of the following apply to you, you are not eligible to apply:

●      You’ve received two scholarships already.
●      Apply to the Master of Medical and Health Science by Research program after the first semester of 2025.

How to apply

1.     It is recommended that interested candidates send an email to [email protected] indicating their interest.
2.     Please make sure the email has the following information:

a)     Describe your motivation for applying for this award in no more than 200 words.
b)    Your curriculum vitae (CV) contains your academic transcripts.
c)     Evidence of fluency in the English language (only candidates whose previous coursework was not in English are subject to this criteria).
d)    Any records attesting to prior research experience.

Conditions and terms

• Recipients of this scholarship must continue to be enrolled full-time in the Master of Medical and Health Science by Research (J90) program and maintain a strong academic standing.
• It is anticipated that awardees who are HDR students will actively engage in Centre for Precision Health projects.
• Transferring to another ECU project or course will result in the forfeiture of this award.

2023 and 2024 International Masters Scholarship

International applicants from specific nations who wish to apply to ECU for Master’s degrees are eligible for the International Masters Scholarship. With the scholarship, you can save twenty per cent on the first year of your master’s program at ECU. The scholarships are available to prospective international students who want to study at Edith Cowan University.

Eligibility guidelines

1. Study at ECU Mount Lawley, ECU Joondalup, or ECU South West (Bunbury) Campus as an international student who is not an Australian, permanent resident, or New Zealand citizen between March 6, 2023, and August 13, 2024, do not accept any government scholarships or industry sponsorships other than those managed by SACM.
2. Obtain a postgraduate degree offer; fulfil the prerequisites for program entrance established by ECU and begin classes on campus in Semester Two, 2023, Semester One or Two, 2024, or December 2023 (summer school); and enrol in one of the postgraduate courses listed below:

How to apply

Upon approval of your application for an ECU course, our Admissions Office will promptly assess your eligibility for this honour. It is optional to submit another scholarship application.

To verify your success, the Admissions Office will send you a Letter of Offer for your course and a separate letter about your award.

Executive Dean’s 2023 and 2024 Master of Engineering Scholarship

International students who have demonstrated solid academic accomplishments in their previous studies are eligible to apply for the 2024 Executive Dean’s Scholarship. The scholarship is immediately available to all qualifying applicants when they apply for a specific postgraduate degree offered by the School of Engineering. For the length of the course at ECU, the scholarship grants a 20% tuition cost discount.

Eligibility Guideline

1. You must meet ECU’s admission requirements for the program and begin your studies during Semester Two, 2023, November 2023 (Summer School), or the 2024 Intake. be an international student who is not an Australian, New Zealand, or permanent resident; have an impressive level of academic achievement from your previous schoolwork, as judged by ECU;
2. not be obtaining government or business financing aside from SACM-sponsored scholarships;
3. obtain an offer to enrol in ECU Joondalup’s Master of Engineering (I59) or Master of Engineering Science (J63) program between March 6, 2023, and August 13, 2024 (owing to travel constraints, some course components may be provided online). 

How to apply

Upon approval of your application for an ECU course, our Admissions Office will promptly assess your eligibility for this honour—there is no requirement to submit another scholarship application.

The Admissions Office will give you a Letter of Offer for your course and an additional letter regarding your scholarship to validate your achievement.
