Description
The Australian Government’s globally competitive, merit-based Endeavour Scholarships and Fellowships program offers up to AU$272,500 for study, research, or professional development opportunities between Australia and other countries.
For qualifying non-Australians, such as Americans and Canadians, the Endeavour Postgraduate Scholarship offers up to AU$272,500 to pursue a Master’s or PhD degree in any discipline in Australia for up to four (4) years through coursework or research.
Endeavour Research Fellowships allow postdoctoral researchers and graduate research students from the United States and Canada to spend up to AU$ 24,500 on research expenses for four to six months in Australia.
Outstanding performers in business, industry, education, or government from eligible participating nations can apply for an Endeavour Executive Fellowship. Over the course of one to four months, the fellowship provides opportunities for professional development worth up to AU$18,500.
All recipients will receive:
- $3,000 for travel expenses.
- Either $4,000 for scholarships or $2,000 for fellowships allowance for establishment.
- $3,000 per month stipend (provided pro rata for the entire program duration).
- Tuition costs, as indicated in the tables, are paid pro rata for the entire study/research time. Tuition includes health insurance for the duration of the program, student service and amenity fees, and other expenses as indicated in the table (OSHC for non-Australians).

What the Fellowship program provides
Receiving a scholarship or fellowship will provide you with priceless foreign study, research, or professional development experience. A contractor hired by the department will offer all recipients post-selection support services, such as a personal case manager, pre-departure briefings, health advice, travel insurance, lodging, security, allowance payments, and progress reports to the department.
Applicants from Australia must:
They must be citizens of Australia or official permanent residents, and they must stay so for the duration of their program. They are not permitted to complete their program in a nation in which they currently possess dual citizenship or permanent residence.
Non-Australian candidates need to:
Not possess Australian citizenship or dual citizenship, nor permanent residency, but rather citizens or permanent residents of one of the participating nations, and to stay such for the term of their program.

Endeavour Scholarship Eligibility
In order to be qualified for an Endeavour scholarship, candidates need to:
- At the start of their program, you must be a citizen of, or have permanent residence in, one of the participating nations or be at least eighteen years old.Â
- Submit all necessary supporting evidence. Apply only to those categories in which they are already the recipient of an Endeavour fellowship or scholarship.
- Not hold or have completed an Endeavour fellowship or scholarship after January 1.
